Out For The Rest Of The Season

Man, I really feel bad for Djibril Cisse. Trying to make his mark in the Premiership and still trying to find his feet and prve himself, and THIS ( warning, u need a strong stomach to see this picture) happens to him. Such bad luck. The Ewood park curse strikes again.Talking about the game, however, there are a few points that i noticed while i was watching the match last night.

1) Kewell is now definitely playing based on past reputation. When he came on last night, it was so obvious that he was off the pace, and that just distrupted the teams chemistry. Before he came on we were pounding on the Blackburn defence. After he came on, we just seemed to lose it.

2) We seemed to lose our concentration once Cisse went off. I think they were all concerned about Ciise and couldn't concentrate on the game. The reaction by Garcia once Baros told him the extent of the injury just showed how genuinely concerned he was.

3) Salif Diao must be an absolute superstar on the training field as I still do not see how he can even deserve a place on the bench. When he came on last night, he seemed just plain crap.

4) Josemi seems to look dodgier and dodgier by every game. The opposition seems to have found out that he isn't really blessed with that much pace. He was at fault for, both goals that we conceeded last night. The first one was him expecting Emerton to be offside, and the second when he couldn't just react faster and boot the ball into row Z, although Hyppia too should have done that in the first place.

Anyway, here's hoping to a speedy recovery to Ciise. I feel really really bad for him, but these things just happen in football. Now, I am definitely sure we will be getting a striker this January.

You'll Never Walk Alone, Cisse
