Lethargic

Am feeling pretty damned tired today, came back from work yesterday at 130am and had to be back in at 7am. Too much of this and i think i am going to be burned out pretty soon. Am already starting to feel it. Need sleeeeep.... sleeeeep....

Murphy's Law

Three winning goals in four games at Old Trafford. Can we play Danny Murphy ONLY when we play the scum? Anyway, from the game last weekend, i could see that we went back to our tried and tested "treble winning season" formula of defending for our lives and trying to hit them on the break. Just look at the starting lineup. The back four, i guess was the most solid back four we could have chosen, and the midfield, we decided to put in Murphy (maginificent penalty, can we only bring in this fella when we have penalties to take, then take him right back off?) in a sort of left midfield role and, imagine this, Finnan in right midfield. Actually, looking at my CM4 team, its not that suprising actually since he is a D/MR. Anyway the defense was rock solid for once and the scum never looked like scoring until giggsy decided to hit BOTH posts with his shot late in the second half. So does this mean we're going back to our "treble winning season" tactics of boring the opponents to death?

Anyway, here's a shout out to the latest "goal scoring sensation" to come out from the ranks of Old Trafford. theater of "dreams". You would never have guessed that Gary "goal scoring phenomenon/2 goals in 3 games/ Ronaldo, you better find another job" Neville would be such a major influence in the team. There's only one Gary Neville, there's only ONE GARY NEVILLE!!! Ha ha ha.. Cheers son. Well done, well done. Ha ha ha...

The Gooners win it

Yeah i know it's a little late, but yeah, the gooners win the Premiership again by drawing with a sorry Spurs team. Was watching the game and the gooners were up by 2 goals and i thought that was the end of it for the Spurs. Also, i thought that after they went 2 up, they stepped down a gear and let Spurs back into the game with an absolute peach of a goal by former Red and also my former favourite Liverpool player, Jamie Redknapp (How's Louise?). But seriously, you could sense that Arsenal could have vapourized spurs if they had wanted to, and they just didn't. Anyway, congrats to Arsenal, i guess they thoroughly deserved the title this year as they are no other teams that even comes close to the skill, teamwork and consistency this side has shown us this year. Anyway, on to next season. Still hope to see us reds up there same time next year.

What on earth?!

It seems that now Bolton, of all teams, are in talks to sign one of the greatest actors, oops, i mean one of the greatest divers, oops again... i mean, one of the most gifted, albeit a bit past it, Brazillian footballers, Mr Rivaldo "Oh my face... my FAAACEEE"... Actually I wouldnt be suprised at all if that happens, since Sam Allardyce has been successful in attracting top names before like Jay Jay Okocha, and Youri Djorkaeff, and Mario Jardel ( OK, he was a flop, but he is still a big name in Europe since he was banging 'em in before he got injured or something). Rivaldo playing in the Premiership for Bolton next season. It could happen. You never know. Whether he would make it in the premiership though, is another issue altogether.

You wanna get wet?

Wet shoes and wet socks in an airconditioned room ain't on... at ALL!!! I am getting a headache due to this. Got caught in the rain just now running back from Friday prayers. And i HAD to put my shoes out in the open air. It was sooo full of water i was suprised that my shoes could actually hold water and not leak any out. I mean, aren't shoes supposed to be like breathe-able and all, so i guess they shouldn't be able to hold water? And to think that these are actually quality Clarks shoes! Sigh. Oh yeah, and it would seem like i am going to have ANOTHER late night at work today. Don't these people understand the meaning of "normal working hours", or "9 to 5" job, or "Let's go out and enjoy our Friday night?!". Sheesh. I need a new job.

Answers to your questions?

Was surfing through the net and found this site, askmen.com, which has some pretty interesting articles for men regarding, erm.... men's stuff?

Customary Liverpool Rant

Now, how can i write into here about stuff and not write/rant/bitch about my one and only Liverpool? I mean, it won't be "complete" then, right? To tell you the truth, I really don't have that much to write about Liverpool now. The season has been shite, the team plays shite football, and to think that some people would actually be HAPPY if we actually get the 4th placing and the ticket into the Champs League, albeit via the back door. I mean, to me, i don't care anymore what happens this season. If we get it, fine, if not, it sucks, but i don't think we deserve to be in the Champs League anyway, judging by the amount of dross that we have been dishing out this season. I am just going to write off this whole season off and see what happens during the summer, players coming in / going out, or even managers coming in/ going out.

Talking about managers going in and out, it seems now that Houllier most likely will still be around next season, judging by the announcement made by Parry that Houllier will receive a 30 million squid transfer kitty during the summer to get us "back on track", which is a major dissappointment to me actually. I won't lie to you, I want Houllier out this summer. I would like to thank him for all that he has done for the team, but i fail to see any hint that he can bring us that one step further to becoming a great team. Also, this summer, what does Parry think Houllier would be able to do with 30 million when he has spent close to 120 million and STILL we are just oh so far behind the league leaders, it's not funny. I mean, we are closer to the relegation zone than we are to Arsenal!

And speaking of Champions League football, it also seems that we are "chasing" Auxere central defender and "Papa Smurf" teamate, Phillipe Mexes. Now, I am pretty sure that he is a very good footballer and has years of quality football ahead of him, but his (or his agent's) comment that he would "only join us if we get into the Champs League" just pisses me off. If that's the case, he can jsut go bugger off as I, personally, do not want to see those sort of footballing mercenaries playing for us. We have enough heartless foreign mercenary imports in our squad already not giving their 100% already, and i dont think i can stand another primadonna coming in.

Local talent aren't too bad

Been listening to the new radio station testing out around Klang Valley, 92.0 FM that showcases all local talent (English and BM, although i don't know whether they actually play and tunes in other languages as well). That's where i found out about the song i am currently listening now, "Sabarlah" by Urban Exchange (i think only the girl, whatever her name, is singing here since i don't hear the other Urban Exchange fella rapping in this song), featuring local talents VE and RuffEdge. Nice, smooth, slow song to listen while its raining outside and my head is still aching, so nice and slow, soothing songs are good for now.

This reminds me of when i was watching MTV Asia awards, where i watched our very own song-bird Siti Nurhaliza almost upstaging Gareth Gates when they were rendering their piece, a duet of Gates' very own "Say it isn't so". Good on her. Damn, she can really sing.

Yeap I haven't been updating THAT often have I?

Have been getting this frigging ass headache today. Must be from the lack of lunch that i had just now. Just had a Coca Cola Light, two karipaps and two vadais just now. So now i am actually feeling ultimately hungry and getting a headache due to that. Can't do any work, so i'll just blabber here at my own space on the internet. Actually, i want to go walk out of the building to one of the mamaks around here and get myself a roti canai or something now, but suprise suprise, the rain started falling AGAIN. Can't... take.. it... any... longer.... need.... food... so..o..n....

Slaughtered like the lambs they are
Came home a bit late yesterday and when i flicked on my trusty Astro, and lo and behold, we were leading 2-1 against the Arse. I never expected us to be actually leading in the game, and was actually fearing the worse before i turned on the telly. During the half time break, it got even more and more surreal. According to the pundits (dont remember their name, since the only one that i do remember, Shebby Spurs Singh, wasnt on last night) , Liverpool were the team with the more chances in the half. And i was in total utter disbelief. A superb diving header goal by Hyppia and an exquisite through ball from el Kapitan for Owen to finish with such cool and calm confidence that we have not been seeing from him lately.

Come the second half, and reality starts to creep in. The Gunners just sliced open our defense and showed us just how fragile, inept and sloppy our defense is. Probably the main reason why Carragher (supposedly our best defender) was stuck onto the right hand side of the defense was probably to neutralize the attacking threat posed by Pires and Henry whom usually can be seen raiding down that left hand flank. However, although Carragher had a bad game, Biscan had an absolute shocker (or what we can call, another day's work, which is what we expect from him :P) and all of the goals were started from the left hand side of arsenal's midfield. It also didnt help that houllier chose to stick with Diouf on the right hand side of midfield, so you would be able to gauge how much protection the defense got from right midfield then, which is didly squat.

All in all, the game just showed us up for what we have become, a team full of mediocre players that depend on two or three star players to pull them through. A team without any bottle to grab the game "by the scruff of the next" and with out enough determination, will and most of them just don't really care that we are currently languishing in fourth place and desperately needing Champion's League football, and the only way we are getting into the tournament next year would be by going through what i would call the "back door". As some of us would say.. "Kasi chance lah kat diorang". I seriously think the team needs to be re-structured in the summer.

Oh well, back to playing with my Championship Manager then. I have just been appointed Liverpool manager after saving Leeds from relegation and keeping the administrators away, AND getting them into Europe in my second season. Now, its time for me to rebuild my Liverpool team the way that i would like it to be. Some people say that Championship Manager is like the closest thing that you can have to the real thing, but i beg to differ. Imagine, the supporters went out prostesting against me the moment i sold off Doouf, Biscan and Traore, stating that they were "Upset by the sale of influential team players". Influential team players? What on earth?!!!

Akmal's going to Norwich
Just read somewhere that our very own Akmal Rizal has been accepted for a trial at Norwich City. Now, if all goes well, and Norwich sign him up, we might see the very first Malaysian football player playing in the Premiership! However, i also read that one of the reasons which would "help" him to get signed up is the fact that Norwich city is currently being sponsored by a certain "Malaysian Company". Now don't get me wrong here, i do rate Akmal as one of our better players, and i will be absolutely proud if he does indeed get signed up and appear on the starting lineup, or at least even appear on the bench itself. However, sportsmen getting their chances overseas or at an international level due to a local company "investing" / "sponsoring" that team just smells too "Alex Yoong-ish" to me. Anyway, i hope that Akmal does get signed up cos it would give the local talent here hope and belief that a local player can make it overseas and make them work doubly hard and hence improve the state of the joke we call "Malaysian national football team".

All the best to you Akmal, and here's to you scoring your hattrick against the Scums!! Ha ha ha

Oracle - Note to self

When creating UTL FILE directories in the init.ora parameters file, always make sure that oracle has execute permission to the directories that you specify, or else oracle will not be able to write to the directory. Not, read or write, execute permission.

Was cracking my brain over this for the past few days trying to figure out why. Sheesh.
Who were playing?
I just wanted to add that i was questioning over the past few days what team actually turned up to play at Anfield last Sunday. I mean the team that i saw was definitely not the normal Liverpool that serves out the normal dross that i have come to expect from our players. I was worried that someone had actually kidnapped the whole team and put in some second rate lookalikes. I mean it wasn't hard to notice that they weren't the ACTUAL Liverpool players, i mean, come on. A Heskey that is actually useful and threads killer passes to help set up goals? An Igor Biscan that plays and keeps a clean sheet? A Risse that doesnt just lump the ball to Heskey? And a Carragher that was actually spotted running PAST THE CENTER LINE?!! *gasp*

CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME BACK MY LIVERPOOL?!!!!! I NEED MY DROSS OF BORING FOOTBALL AND THE LUMPS UP TO HESKEY!!! PLEAAASE? Anyone? Please?

Ha ha ha... excellent game over the weekend. If only we could play like that every single week, starting with Arsenal this Friday.
Arse-d out...
Yeah, yeah, yeah i haven't written to this place in like donkey years already. But i guess today, it just deserves special mention. Ranieri's blues have kicked Arsenal out of the Champions League, and at Highbury as well. I just could not stop laughing when i read the football websites today. Seriously, my evil wish for Arsenal to win f*** all this season is 2/3rd's complete!! Ha ha ha ha (evil laughter). And also (*gasps*) Real Madrid has also been kicked out of the tournament by Monaco, with their departure aided by a goal from exiled Morientes. Dont know why, but i just find all of this amusing and absolutely hilarious
