Why were they lucky? Well, from last nights game, several reasons actually. One, Rio *could* have been sent off for a professional foul. Second, they *could* have conceeded a penalty. Third, Ruud *could* have been sent off for what I would say an X rated challenge on Ashley Cole (I know, i know, i hate that diving bastard as well, although i do admit he is a superb left back, but that doesn't warrant dishing that sort of challenges to him... erm.. maybe, come to think about it again... nah.. still not.. ha ha ha). Fourth, the penalty they scored was EXTREMELY touch and go. It was not a clear cut decision at all.
However, saying all that, I have to take my hat off to Sir Alex, since his rough house tactics did provide him with a win, and ended the Gooner's unbeaten run. He probably just told his boys to kick the living daylights out of the Arsenal players, although I have a feeling they did probably target Reyes in particular considering the treatment he was getting last night.
Oh well, all in all, it was an entertaining game. Too bad no one got sent off nor were there any extended fist action on the field, although there were rumours of some "afters" after the game though. The Premiership race has been thrown open again. Lets see how the Gooners react to this setback. Also, people are saying that with this result, Manyoo are still in the race. If thats the case, then Liverpool, one point behind and with a game in hand could also be considered "still in the race"? No?
