Reds batter Glasgow giants

Seems that the pre season games are getting better and better. After beating Wrexham, the Reds trashed [liverpoolfc.tv] the Glasgow giants in the states.

I know it's still just pre-season games, and I know I shouldn't get too excited, and i know that Smicer and Cheryou looked like world class players in the pre-season games when they first arrived, but it doesn't hurt to feel optimistic for the new season. From the reports, it looks as if Rafa has us playing a good passing game, and also some of the players seem to be raising their game as well, like Biscan. I mean, it HAS to be good if even Henchoz himself starts scoring, but then again, as they all say, its JUST the pre season games. Good to see Cisse start scoring as well.

Also, read that Neil Lennon has written us off [soccernet] for the Premiership this year. Very "interesting" comments from him considering the fact that his team were just walloped by the team he oh so confidently has just written off. Again, it's just pre-season, but then again, Neil Lennon, i give you the one fingered salute.

  1. What i still can't believe are the reports that Biscan was "brilliant in midfield"! Anyone who could bring out that kind of performance out of Igor has to be good! I don't know if we can actually win anything this season, but maybe, just maybe, we could really make some noise!

  3. Actually, Biscan was initially bought as a solid central midfield player, and if memory serves me correctly, he actually played a blinder of a game with Gerrard in central midfield against Man Yoo on his debut. However, since then, he has been played all over the field and his most dodgiest performances have been as a central defender. Still, like i said, it IS just still pre-season, but it's good to see that Rafa is actually trying him out at his actual position, and by the looks of it, he does seem to be a much better player there.
